Lesson Number Sixty

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby”

[1 Peter 2:2]

Question Number 60

Question. What is the nature of the KINGDOM of the HEAVEN?

Answer. This KINGDOM is a future … PHYSICAL and LITERAL KINGDOM to be established at the end of the Times of the Gentiles exactly as defined in the book of Daniel. It will be also a POLITICAL KINGDOM! Israel’s KING will govern the nations of this earth! This KING is the SON of GOD … Jesus Christ.
Indeed my friends, very near in the future there is coming to this earth a dispensation called: “the regeneration”, a “time of reformation”, a millennial kingdom, which the Lord will have put his laws into the minds of the Jews.

For the last six thousand years the whole creation ever since Adam sinned has been groaning and waiting for it. It will be a Sabbath, or a rest for the earth, lasting one thousand years. The Bride of Jesus Christ … The Church … will reign with him. “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” [Revelation 5:10] The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of God will be coexistent during regeneration.

After the thousand years with Jesus Christ, reigning visibly from Jerusalem will come a new heaven and a new earth. The Kingdom of Heaven will have transitioned into eternity. There will be no physical temple in it: “for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it” [Revelation 21:22] “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” [Revelation 21:1-5]
