Man Needs A Wife A Man Needs A Wife

by Rick St.James

In the BOOK [The King James Bible] the first mention of the word “wife” is in [Genesis 2:24]. “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” In this verse God establishes a BASIC TRUTH. A man needs a wife.
Now this picture is humorous. It should make you laugh. Well if you couldn’t laugh I feel sorry for you. [Political correctness killed the cat!] Americans have lost their ability to reason. They have lost their common sense. It is because WE as a nation have DIVORCED the GOD of BIBLE. For several generations we have been reaping for what have sowed.

Now note several things:
1. The man is in trouble with his tractor. “Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.” [Job 5:7]

2. The man and his wife seem to be UP in years. Gray heads!!! “And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” [Isaiah 46:4]

3. The man and his wife are STILL together after all those years. For better or worse! “Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.” [Proverbs 5:18]

4. The man and his wife are working together as a TEAM. “I will make him a help meet for him.” [Genesis 2:18b] The man could not make it without his wife.
Now let’s put: “I will make him a help meet for him” of Genesis 2:18b back together with the first part of the verse, [verse 18] and read it again … in its context. “And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Do you believe what GOD said in THE BOOK?
