The Army of the Supernatural Horsemen in the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ

Psalms 12:6-7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

1 Thessalonians 2:13 "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ - Chapter Nineteen, Verse Eleven

Verse eleven: “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” [Revelation 19:11]

Heaven opens next, and what do we see?  We see a white horse.  And who is on this white horse?  It is someone WHO is FAITHFUL and TRUE.  This thing can only be said of Jesus Christ, WHO is JEHOVAH.  It is the SON of GOD is on this white horse, and HE is ready to JUDGE, and to MAKE WAR.

Now, this is different horse, and a different rider than the one seen in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, in chapter six, verse two:

“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” [Revelation 6:2]

[A careful comparison of the two horses, and their two their riders will show you this.]

·      One has many crowns, and the other, has a crown.

·      One has a sword [verse fifteen] and the other has a bow

Now, we will continue here, in chapter nineteen with verse twelve.

Verse twelve: “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.” [Revelation 19:12]

“His eyes were as a flame of fire”

If we [in the flesh] saw Jesus Christ as HE is now, we would collapse to ground, and be as dead men.

Really?  Oh! Yes, we would be … as DEAD MEN!

Remember what happened to John earlier.  For this, turn back to chapter one, verse seventeen:

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:” [Revelation 1:17].

John fell at his feet as dead!

Just imagine trying to look HIM in the eye!  We couldn’t handle it!  Those EYES are as a flame of fire, and would cause our very heart to fail with overwhelming FEAR.

Now, go back a few more verses, [in chapter one] to verse fourteen, and look there at this sight:

“His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;” [Revelation 1:14].

“…and on his head were many crowns”

Observation: A crown on one’s head separates him from all his fellows.

Now, the first mention of the word crown in the Bible indicates this elevation of a person above other persons, and is found in the first book of Moses called Genesis, chapter forty-nine, verse twenty-six:

“The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.” [Genesis 49:26]

A crown on one’s head separates one from his brethren.

What is a crown according Webster’s dictionary [1828]?  “A crown is an ornament worn on the head by kings and sovereign princes, as a badge of imperial or regal power and dignity.

Figuratively, regal power; royalty; kingly government, or executive authority.”

Now note, Jesus Christ has many crowns!  He has not one crown, but many crowns.  He will receive ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD in a moment of time!!!

Now look at HIM!  The Word of God!

Verse thirteen: “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” [Revelation 19:13]

Blood!

Jesus Christ is clothed in a vesture dipped in blood!

Now, blood is essential to the preservation of life.  See for yourself this truth in the first book of Moses, called Genesis, chapter nine, four: “But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.” [Genesis 9:4]

Life is the blood!

There is something else here, salvation is in the blood!  Recorded, as a command [in Exodus 12:22], the salvation of all the Hebrews living in Egypt depended upon the blood being applied to the lintel and posts of the door of their houses.  We read of this in the second book of Moses, called Exodus, in chapter twelve, verse thirteen:

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” [Exodus 12:13]

When I see the blood, I will pass over you.  Who is the “I”?

Why, it is Jesus Christ!  Jesus Christ is our PASSOVER!   Jesus Christ is our SALVATION!

HE has washed us in his own blood.   Read of this precious word of life in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, in chapter one, verse five:

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” [Revelation 1:5]   Amen!

When God sees the blood of the LAMB of GOD applied on you, the wrath of God shall not be upon you, HE will pass over youYou are saved!!!

Now, my friend, if you do not by faith put your trust in the blood of the LAMB of God [on the door posts, and lintel of your heart], and instead, you decide to give HIM the thumbs down, HIS blood will be upon you, just as it was on all the people who rejected their Messiah in the day HE was crucified

Matthew 27:25: “Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.”

What happened to them will happen to you.

Now, the blood of innocents has polluted the earth.  [The reference for this is located in the book of Jeremiah, chapter nineteen, verse four, and the book of Numbers, chapter thirty-five, thirty-three.]

This is blood that is unrequited blood.

This blood is not recompensed blood.

It has an accumulative and a downward effect on all that is living, and thus, it must be atoned, or appeased, or reconciled before a HOLY GOD, or DEATH will surely come to claim all the offenders.

But men [all the inhabitants of the earth] have now reached the point of no return.  Their hearts, engulfed with sin, are so hardened against the God of Heaven, and refuse to bend the knee to Jesus Christ, that they find their end in the midst of the sacrifice in Bozrah, and in the winepress of the wrath of God Almighty.

This final blood-filled scene is seen in the following verses of the Scripture:

Isaiah 34:6: “The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.”

Isaiah 63:3: “I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.”

Revelation 14:20: “And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”

Next, we have HIS NAME!

“…his name is called The Word of God”

AMEN!

The connection between: “The Word of God”, and the “word of God”, and the “words of God” is unbreakable connection.

You might state it this way: The difference between the Almighty God, or Jehovah, WHO is Jesus Christ, and THE BIBLE, which is the word of God, is indiscernible.   The Author of the BOOK and The BOOK are ONE.

Now: The Word of God is one of the many names for Jesus Christ.  We will not list them here for the lack of space. [For a partial list of the names of Jesus Christ, please refer to my commentary: Psalm 74, The Apple of His Eye, pages 18-26.]

Verse fourteen: “And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.” [Revelation 19:14]

“…the armies”

Armies?  Did you say?

Yes!  This whole thing is all about a soon coming military operation.  It is a gigantic war involving both spiritual and physical combatants.

These combatants, on the one side are:

1.       The Dragon [Satan],

2.       The Beast,

3.       The False Prophet,

4.       The ten kings confederate with the Beast,

5.       The kings of the people of the east.

The combatants on the other side riding on white horses are:

1.       Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

2.       The saints of the Son of God.

Now, the saints here, comprise all the saved from the church age.

Thus, if you are born of the Spirit, having been made part of body of Christ in this age [1 Corinthians 12:13], you will most assuredly be a participant, in this, the greatest military conflict the world has ever seen.

Good news!  THE GOOD GUYS WIN!

“…followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.”

Notice here something: We are all clothed in fine linen, so white and clean!

Now, these armies of Jesus Christ will travel from the third heaven through the vast expanses of the universe, and land on this earth at Mount Sinai.

We will then travel with our Savior, the LORD Jesus Christ from Mt. Sinai through the environs of both Seir and Paran in Edom to arrive on location at the Valley of Megiddo, the meeting place.

We can all see this very path of the LORD, with all of his saints, in their travel to war in the fifth book of Moses, called Deuteronomy, in chapter thirty-three, verse two:

“And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.” [Deuteronomy 33:2]

We, the saints, will be singing all the way on the route unto the LORD!

Psalm 30:4: “Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.”

Verse fifteen: “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” [Revelation 19:15]

Do you see what is coming out of the mouth of THE LORD?

Note: It’s a sharp sword [THE WORD OF GOD] that will come out of Jesus Christ’s mouth to smite these rebels, the nations, gathered against HIM.

But HE is ready!  HIS mouth is, as it says it is, in the book of Isaiah, chapter forty-nine, verse two:

“And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;” [Isaiah 49:2]

The Horsemen of the Kings of the East

This is seen also, in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapter one, verse sixteen:

“And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” [Revelation 1:16]

Now, see this winepress.

The Horsemen of the Kings of the East

“…he treadeth the winepress”

The combatants will meet in a broad valley.

Now, the LORD GOD will do the gathering.  He will draw them into the winepress.  He will gather all the nations together to the great battle in “Megiddo” or called “the valley of Megiddon” and “called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” [Revelation 16:16]

This “valley of Megiddon” is set to be the climactic valley of decision for all the nations of the earth that have a controversy, or an argument, with God Almighty, which controversy concerns HIS SON, Jesus Christ.

Now, we can read further of this decisive meeting in the book of Joel, chapter three, verse fourteen:

“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.” [Joel 3:14]
